Cayman Green Metallic - not dark enough. kinda looked like it has a blue tint.
Deep Jewel Metallic - a bit too dark, but a lot closer to the original color. not a lot of metallic flake.
Green Metalspeck (NOT metalcast) - VERY close to the original color, could be a bit darker though. lots of metallic bits.

So Mike, would you say that the Cayman Green Metallic might be close to the 1977 Blue/green of the KZ1000A1?

couldnt tell ya :S
ive never seen a KZ1000A1 in person.

it would only cost you about $8-10 to pick up some a can of primer and a can of paint. the cayman green is definately a green color, but i think it has a hint of blue to it. looking at that Lubri-tech color listing that was posted to the filebase, the color name for the 77 KZ1000 is Diamond Sky Blue. so, if you are looking for a blue color with a hint of green... this probably isnt it.

I found this ad on another KZ site. I don't know them, and have not used them. But they may be able to match your '77 KZ650 Emerald Green. I owned one, back in the day, and I always thought that color was great.
Here's the blurb:

My shop restores classic Kawasaki's 73-80 to make the bike orignial.

We use candy's, 2 stage paint and can match any Kawasaki paint.

Work can be done in 2-3 days. We pay shipping of parts to you once
you mail the tank & side cover.
