1980 Fuel Tanks

Could someone give me an answer...

In 1980 was there a larger fuel tank like from the A series?

I thought there was the LTD/Classic and MKII - maybe the Z1R, but in 1980... there was no large tank?

Yes, the ST was a large tank in 79/80 (1000 E1 E2)

Just found my manual, 4.81g on that tank.

You might also be thinking of the Z1R series...the 1978 D1 was 13 liters while the 1980 D3 was 20 liters

Thanks for all the info. Yes, I would have thought the ST was a MKII as well.

But... they did not make a Z1 style (rounded) large tank. That is what I was really looking for and someone said they had a 1980 large Z1 style (rounded) tank. I thought he may have been "mistaken." Probably an LTD tank.

The LTD tank is small. The Police tank was made in 1980. But I also believe that 1980 had the same frame as the earlier models, so you should be able to use a 78 1000 tank.
