Removing front half of rear fender? was created by polkat

The front half of the rear fender on my '82 KZ750H appears to be black plastic(!). I'm swapping rear fenders in a bobber mod. Is there any trick to getting the plastic half out? Thanks!

Unsrew the bolts on the top where the plastic one laps the metal one and wiggle it out from the bottom

normally swingarm needs to be removed if it isnt already
