I ordered a set of reproduction oem decals for my 1983 KZ750-L3 from RD Decals in Canada. They were the only place I found them. Actually, they showed them on their site, but they weren't a shelf item and they're having to produce them for me because "we've had very little call for that model." But... I hope to get them in about a week.

Ron had me order him a set of 1982 GPz decals to use on the 750 custom he's doing. They were in the Sale Items at $18 off, and I used a coupon code and got $11 more off!

They have some Kawasaki, Yamaha and Suzuki models. If you didn't already know about them, check 'em out. Could be a lifesaver for your restoration as they are for mine. Just wanted to pass along a little known source.

P.S. If you see something you want, hit the red discount button and enter "SAVE15TKL" and you'll save 15% on your order!

NOTE: This is an addition to my original post. Just thought I'd mention I have actually received the decals now and they are absolutely gorgeous. I am extremely pleased with them.

I tried that discount code and it didn't work. I need the GPz turbo decal set but $140 shipped is kinda high. I think I'll just make my own.

I have found about a half dozen suppliers of reproduction decals. You would be shocked at the price differences between them. Decals for a 76 900 can go from $65- $140US, and they are all made the same place.

I believe theirs are the same as those from ReproductionDecals.com - some of them anyway. And since Z1Enterprises is in the USA, it might be a good idea to get them there... while yer getting other stuff. :)

FYI The decals sold @ Z1 Enterprises are manufactured by Reproduction Decals and are of excellent quality! I have used these on my '78 KZ1000 LTD and have not had any issues in four years but I made sure my painter cleared over them also.

Replied by Z1000 Grandma on topic DECALS- Vintage and Discontinued- a source I found
It's Z1000 Grandma again... I'm the one who started all this with the thread. Just thought I'd do a followup and say the decals look positively awesome now that my L is done. Take a look at my other post I put up today with pictures. I highly recommend the RD Decals.

One word of advice, however: They were not contoured exactly for the squared lines of the tank. I had a vinyl sign company apply them. They used a special heat gun and special type squeegie deal to apply it. Well worth the money for them to do it. Then several coats of DuPont Clear was applied over the black and decals.
