Very nice for your first spray. A little Buff Buff and it should shine up OK. For my first time I'd have used something less expencive than HOK.

Actually Xylene and Toluene have 130 and 124 octane respectively and are used in European Gasoline in a similar way that we use Ethanol and Manganese here in the US. Xylene is one item I run in all of my vehicles regularly From My Jaguar XJR to My Dodge Ram Van to all of my bikes. Also included in my fuel additives are Naphthalene and Butyl Alcohol. MEK or Acetone I would not recommend unless you are running a compression of less than 7:1. Otherwise you will tear your pistons off. Those two items have a extremely low octane # and burn extremely fast. I have written entire articles about additives.

Where do you buy this stuff and what percentages do you mix it up to? This is one area I think 99.9% of people have no clue of and probably shouldn't mess with but, just for knowledge sake...

I buy Xylene at my local paint store in 5Gal. buckets. You can add xylene in any percentage you wish. It will not harm any engine. Some guys run it as much as 50/50 I am nowhere as extreme. I run 2.5% (32oz : 5gal gas)

Just what I thought. My first car was a 1961 MGA that I painted BRG. Great color.

The color just looks a bit more metallicy than the stock "Candy Emerald Green" which came on the bike.

I just found the pictures I was looking for. This is a tank I did for my brothers ZR750 this sumer. I use PPG clear coat. "Concept 2002" or the much less expensive "OMNI" which is what this tank is because I ran out of "Concept"
