I have 1 with the emblem it's off a 78. Let me know, I'll check the lugs on it to be sure they are good tomorrow if you want it for the postage cost.

Hey gang-Let me add my name to second in line to 2WT as I am also looking for a left side cover with an emblem for my "77 650.

I've got an extra right side one for a '77-'79 Kz650 with emblem if anyone is in need of one.

I guess Im third in line, I need a left cover for my 77 650 too, colour not important, as the bike is getting painted either black or green (cant make up my mind)

Dennis Kirk has new ones for $27.99 each, part #61.1248 for the left and 61-1249 for the right side.

I don't think that's possibly the corect cover. These are aftermarket ones I do think.

There is a slight difference in the side cover emblems between the '77 '78's and the '79 and on. As well the side covers for the '77 '78's have a recess in the cover for the emblems, where as the '79 does not have a recess, just flat/smooth right accross. Not that it really matters, but if you were going for detail.
