In need of a luggage rack for 1980 kz1000 ltd

Anybody know where I can get a luggage rack? I thought about making one and sending it to get it chromed. I would like a factory job though. Are there any aftermarket racks available? I just want a plain one that bolts to the shock bolt and sticks out to the back.

Would keep an eye on ebay.

Here's one current listing.

Good Luck! :)

My brother just took one off of his 1980 KZ1000 shaft drive that he just bought. He is going to sell it I think. Let me know if you want his email.

I just bought a 1981 kz1100 and I am looking for a luggage rack. Do you know if the one from the 1980 kz1000 will fit it? If so, I would be interested in the one your brother has.

Very cool. Thanks.I was hoping to get one that had the back rest. I will keep my eye on this one and look for one with a back rest.

I don't know if you will have the same problem I did with my G1 which is similar to the LTD. In my case, the seat was too long and the rear mounting bracket did not fit. I ended up by bolting some short shoulder bolds into the grab rail holes and then resting the bottom rail of the backrest on top of the shoulder bolts and holding them down with a U-Bold. Looks kind of funky, but it works pretty well.

I have a trunk I guess you would call it that came off my 1980 Shaft drive. I just didnt like the way it looked, it has a backrest.
