they look cool, but i would want to get some feedback before i drop the 1000 plus shipping and handling.

Are they sturdier that the originals in the movie? I seem to recall alot of flexing going on in the scenes they showed. Not terribly sure how fast they were going at the time, but if it wasn't much more than a fast highway speed I'd be a little nervous.
