I have noticed quite a few guys out there who have modified their swingarms with swingarms off other types of bikes to accommodate a wider radial tire. I have been wanting to do this with my bike, but so far I can only find a countershaft sprocket that uses the 30 chain. Well, I have a swingarm and shock and rear tire for a YZF00R that I want to use on my bike, but it uses a 530 chain. Where can I get a countershaft adapter for a KZ1000 that is designed for 530? Also I am looking for any used fiberglass bodywork that will fit a Z1000. I have my eye on a trick looking Rickman set from Airtech, but would be interested in looking at some used stuff. And I would also like a line on anything out there spare parts that I can obtain. Any and all freebies are welcome; I can pay shipping.

all the major sprocket manufactures make a 530 conversion or you can always use 750 twin front sprockets as for an offset front sprocket d&g chassis or kosman or schnitz racing should be able to help there a lot of companies that make those as for rear sprockets try rebel gears, sprocket specialties, jt sprockets, p.b.i as you can see there are many. for clearance when the guy's are putting bigger wheel &tire combo's on most have gone to 530 chain for clearance reasons

I have checked with my local bike shops and so far we can find no one that makes a conversion kit for the Z1000 bikes. A rear sprocket is not going to be an issue; what is hard to find is the front counter sprocket adapter that allows me to move to a wider rear suspension and a 160mm tire that is not 630. I have checked with A P E and theirs is only for a 630. But I will check out those names you mentioned. Maybe I will find what I need. After all, the more people you meet the better your chances.

i run 530 stuff on some of my bikes and i have no problem getting the sprockets thru the local bike shops when you go to a shop they usally do have more than one supplier and if they don't go to a shop that actually has decent parts people that know there freakin business if they can't find something for these bikes they aren't trying hard enough and don't really want your money because thse bikes haver been around for 30+ years and they are the small block chev of the motorcycle world.

glad i could help but you won't find a kit thru a bike shop you will have to buy individual sprockets which is the best way anyway because you can order what you really need. by the way nice looking ride.
