2-piece vs 1-piece seat compatibility
12 Apr 2009 16:12
i have an 81 kz750 with a 2-piece seat... i'm looking for a replacement seat because mine has holes in it... the upholstry store said it'd be $6 for material and $96 for labor to mount the seat... and that's just for the driver seat... i found an 82 kz750 1-piece seat... will this be compatible with the mounts on my 2-piece set up on my bike?
OR what's another option for seat fixing/replacement?

Assuming the 82 750 seat you found is for an LTD, then yes it will fit fine.

the seat (based on looking at pictures) belongs to an 82 kz750 M... which is the same as the 83 & 84 kz750 K's..... do you think this would fit on my 81 kz750 h2?
i know this is tricky.. but i would like to have the one piece seat.. and they started offering the one piece in 82 in the H3 and H4 models....
(i'm slowy realizing that the KZ750 has quite a history.. didn't know it was part of kawasaki's switch to the sport bikes and it was the fastest 750 on the road in 81/82)
