This is what he said about the fairing but it was on a suzuki.(This is a nice clean fairing with no flaws taken from a 1980 GS1000G Suzuki. It will be disassembled for shipping and includes fasteners enough for most installations. It includes brackets and setback turn signals to match. It will fit other Suzukis and it may fit other brands or models. Headlight inserts may be available online or from Shoei to fit other bikes. )

I've got the FM-2 installed on my KZ. It looks very similar. Just like trianglelaguna said, two headlight brackets and some goofy arms to attach to the handlebars.

I can take a picture of the mounting when I get off of work if you want. The headlight brackets were probably the toughest. Here is how I went about it.

First remove headlight from bucket and loosen bucket bolts.
Remove brackets from fairing and spray with WD-40. Mount brackets onto bucket mounts at furthest adjustment point and tighten bolts. Re-mount headlight in bucket.

Now hold the fairing up to the brackets and screw the fairing onto them. It took me 3 washers on the inside of the fairing to get the spacing right. Once it's firmly mounted, push both sides of the fairing back to slide the brackets back in the bucket mounts (this is the reason for the WD-40).

The handlebar brackets are going to be different depending on what bars you have, but they're pretty straightforward.

Oh, and go easy on the little mounting bolts on the "arms". I twisted the head right off of one.

Here's mine.

Hi and thanks for the info, the fairing looks great on your ride and I hope mine will suite my bike.I was going to redo and put back on the vetter fairing and lowers but now that I am redoing and polishing the motor I hate to cover it up.When I get the new fairing in the mail I will take your advice when installing it thanks again.I still cant find another pic of the fm-5 on any bike though.Must not have been a very common or possibly popular windshield.

Hi timebomb33 and thanks ,thats nice to know.I am wondering should I paint it to match whatever color that I paint the bike.I was going to go with a 2006 ninja green but I am starting to have second thoughts and am thinking about stock 79st colors.
