Can you fit a windjammer2 fairing on a kz 440? I know the bike is a little weak for a windsheild but I want to do it. Any advice?

Jon, I can be done, In fact If I recall correctly the even made proper mounting brackets. However i can't recommend it. do yourself a favor if intent on mounting a frame mounted fairing check & see if you can find vetter's Rooster. It offered similar protection, carrying space, stereo options etc, but was lighter and @ 1/2 the sheer volumn of the windjammer. luck G

Agree completely with what Gane said. Yes it can be done. Vetter did make a mount for the 440. I have a Vetter Windjammer on a 550. I really like it but you will find the extra weight on the front end will change the handling a bit. It will also cause more front end dive under braking.(heavier weight fork oil helps) I also agree a Vetter Rooster or Quicksilver fairing might be a better choice on a 440. They show up on ebay quite often and can be had a reasonable prices. You can even still get some new parts at: www.craigvetter.com/pages/Motorcycle_Des...torcycle%20Main.html

I thank you both for the reply. I got this fairing really it is in great shape and has a perfect windsheild. I also got the mounting hardware for a cb750. I only paid $20 for all this so Im really hoping it will work. I am going to rebuild my forks soon and I had planned on putting 15w oil in them. I believe I can modify the 750 mount to fit this bike. Any more help is appreciated.
