Anyone know if there is any problem applying hand painted pin striping on powder coated parts?

After looking at the semi crappy chrome. I had my fenders blasted and powder coated with a super high gloss black. they are SWEET! but now that I have, It would seem a natural to have some matching pin striping applied to go with the tank and covers. but they usually put the stripe on an automotive clear coat. would hate to have it come off in a few weeks or so.

You could try having the striper put a line on it and let it sit for a week or so. The try to rub it off with your finger. If it sticks your good if it comes off it'll come off easy and you will know.

I would call the shop where you had it coated. I've heard some have used PC'ing as a primer but have not tried it myself.

Well, you could use Don's avatar or you could get decals made to your taste and stick them on.

I will see what I can do. I am not sure a pic will do it Justis, they look as good or better than the parts I did a base coat/ clear coat system with a rub out and polish.

I also did the clutch perch and master cylinders.
OH BABY do they look nice, very liquid and smooth. and the PC is much better with brake fluid.

On the perch I did not have them mask the inside area where the lever goes and i had to get some out to have it fit. MAN was that hard to scrape out way harder than any paints I have used. I think those parts will last a long time. I wish now that I did the frame too.

You could use vinyl pin stripe & blow clear over the whole thing.
