I searched through the threads to no avail. I can get a 2003 suzuki gsxr 600 front fairing for next to nothing. I was wondering if it will physicaly fit my z1? I know i will need to make some mounting brackets that is no biggie. I was thinking it would also be nice with the dual halogen lights for night time riding. Thanks, Jim.

As most anything all it takes is time and money. Brackets can be fabbed if time is taken for design. A source for metal is at
www.onlinemetal.com
They cover types and uses that might help your project.
Another thing to consider is using a relay to power the dual headlights as the current draw might be more than the stock switch can handle. The website www.the12volt.com shows relay circuits along with www.rallylights.com

I don't think it's going to look as good as you think. The Gsxr has angular body lines while the Kz has curvy lines. And the Gsxr fairing will make the rest of the bike look tiny.
The only thing I've ever found like you want was a Kz witha Zx9 fairing.
In a relatively old Cycle World issue was a Gs1100 built by Dale Walker that has a 1st Gen Bandit 12 fairing on it. It actually looked ok.
I scanned the pics for you to see. Sorry about the white line down the middle of the bigger pic but it was from a 2 page layout that I had to cut/paste together.
Later, Doug

Top half yeah. The whole thing no. Modern sportbike fairing is not anywhere near tall enough for your chassis.
