Any tips on fabricating fairing brackets for a full size vintage fairing.

All depends on where the mounting points of the fairing are.
On the Rickman fairing I have, it has two mounting points just above the headlight in the Dash area that is is a horizontal mounting point. The dash is horizontal, and the two bolts go up and down vertically. This rests on the fairing bracket, seen in the right of this picture:
The bracket has an angle piece of metal that clamps to the steering stock/post, and then a single bar coming off the angle piece to the fairing frame that supports the headlight independantly.
The angle piece is bolted to two brackets that fit over the gas tank frame mounts:
The lower part of the fairing uses the two brackets in the top picture, left side. They mount to the rear engine mount bolts in my case.
