Painting monoshock? was created by kawtoy
I have a monoshock that I need to make look better. Should I paint, powdercoat or what? I was also think about spraying it with a rubber coating or a rhino liner type coating. Any ideas? Thanks

It is a monoshock from a FZ700 that is going on my BC350 project. It is red and flaking apart right now. I am worried about what material will hold up to the flexing that the shock will see.

i wasnt sure if you were talking about shock or swingarm.if its a shock disassemble it as much as possible including spring.clean it up really good and paint it maybe have spring and adjustment collar plated if youre into that before reassembly.goodluck, happy wrenching!B)

How the heck you take one of these apart? Do I need a spring compressor?
