83 750F1 rear cowl??? was created by wrangler615
Does anyone know how much trouble, if any at all, it would be to fit an another model year rear tail to my 83 F1? I would like to eliminate the rear fender and give it a sportier look. And I think the brake light and turn indicators are hideous. I like the look of an 82 models rear tail, but I hate to have to do major modifications as far as the seat and stuff goes. This is my first project and I am on a budget.

Is your bike a 750-Ltd-Shaft?
And the 82 model of which you speak, is that a 750-E-Standard?
I could be dead wrong, but the seat would most likely have to be switched out. Because it seems like the tail would have to be cut down too much. But what do I know - mods aren't my forte.

Here's a photo of an 81 KZ650-CSR w an added duck tail.
I believe that's a seat from a different model. Not sure though.
The CSR is very similar to the 750-Ltd models - similar styling, similar or same frame, same rear fender, no tail, etc.

I am not sure of the exact 82 model. I was just cruising google images and found it, damned if I can't find it again! I think maybe a GPZ tail, but I don't know for sure if the pic I saw wasn't a modded bike. The seat looked the same though. I just really don't want a fender on the rear, it looks so old.
