Product warning

Do not used "Greased Lightning" brand degreaser on your polished aluminum parts.
It etches it. I just found that out the hard way. It'll polish back out no problem, but I hate uneccessary rework.

No, it isn't. Not according to the MSDS.
It's sodium hydroxide - very caustic - pH=12.7+
I believe oven cleaner would be a similar product.

Don't use any cleaner with ammonia in it, even windex. It will work on the aluminum.
I have an ultralight and was using windex to clean the bugs off the prop and the overspray hitting the enginge was makeing it look like crap before I found out what was causeing it.
