I am looking to change the seat on my 1976 KZ 900 LTD B1, and I am wanting to go with something lower profile and sleeker looking.
So, I'm curious which models interchange with mine?

Good explanation of the KZ seat types and how they interchange.

if you could get the ltd style corbin seat with a more stock looking pattern that would be cool!B)the price actually aint that bad by the time you fix/powdercoat a stock pan,new foam and cover in leather you arent saving much!

Still recovering, some days are better than others.

Had a Corbin a couple years ago and personally, that was about the most uncomfortable seat I have ever used. Looked good but I will never have another one.

1980 LTD (changed over the years), 1979 LTD (being rebuilt), 1977 KZ turbo and various KZ's in various states of build. KLX110

It's pretty easy to cut the stock seat down with an electric kitchen knife, then shape it with a flap disc on a angle grinder. That's how I did mine on my 78. Came out better than I expected.

Couple of quick tips. 1st if you peruse Milwauki Cycle (after KZ parts on ebay) they list new seat covers by model/year/style. I've a LTD on my 77 Kz1000 A1, and a stock on my 81 KZ550 A1. they cost @ $70.00, and both were made new for my orders apparently from orig. patterns. from Marine qual.vynele. except from lack of lettering are indiscernable from OE. to be sure, 1 took 6 weeks , the other a month, however their' quality is excellent. 2nd, if you want to lower your' height, cut foam from bottom IE: between pan and foam. even minute flaws between cover and foam shine in warm weather, and re-carving contours cause miss-alignment to top.. If, your're a big guy, and need the hump moved back, go ahead and carve away, electric carving knives work well, and finishing w/60 grade sandpaper (carding if you've heard the term) result in a coverable serface. then off to most auto upholsters. Dan Ballard at "Bitchin'Stitchin" in Loveland Co, has done 4 or 5 for me over the years, and more for my friends, and I have no qualms about reccommending him. G

I really like that, did you recover it yourself? If so what material did you use?

I used a marine grade (Thick)vinyl. I unstiched the old seat and used that as a guide. I cut the sides skinnier and most of what I cut off the top was on the back part of the seat. Sewing was kind of a pain but not to bad.

Where can you purchase vinyl like that?
