My stock style from Z1E didn't have enough padding so by the time I got to 100 miles, by butt was sore. I like the look of it and carrying a passenger, I couldn't go with a solo seat. The Mustang seat on the 550 was comfy so I wanted one. I found a used on on eBay for a J model. The pan is longer so it took a little doing with my old pan and made it work. Easy to do. Pry open the clips and stretch the new seat and foam on. Trade off, cool or comfortable. I chose the latter. B)

My Z2 came with one of those...first thing I did was remove it and leave it for the garbageman:)

I did the same thing with that style seat that was on my KZ900 then bought a repop of the stock seat.

I have one of those. Felt like sitting on a post. Couldn't move around, trapped. Took it off and got the stock seat. After two years I wanted something I could RIDE on. :dry:
