sidecover fittings

hay im building an old school mad max bike 78kz1000.i have a set of maier aftermarket side covers.but i only have three of the mounting fittings,the metal part that goes inside the rubber gromet,and i need three more if anyone has any i would like to buy them.i will take what ever i can get 1-2or3,or if anyone knows were i can buy them new that would be cool to.i have tryed every place i can think of with no luck.jim from redline cycle told me he can get them from maier but he has to but 50 and hes not going to do that any time soon the last batch lasted him three years. any help would be great. steve

Maier sells them but they are spendy. U2U sent.

thanks for the help don.i called maier and they sent me three new fittings with the screws.for(FREE!!!!!)you cant beat that with a stick..thanks again steve

You could have tried my approach.


I think the Dzus fasteners look cleaner than Maier's way. Good luck on your project..make sure to post pics along the way.
