650 duck tail on 1000 frame

Has anyone done this mod? Ive seen some pics in the gallery and though it looked pretty cool. Is it a direct bolt on?

Not a direct bolt on.
indykaw77 has a 650 tail on his kz1000.
The nicest kz tail in my opinion.
