Well the 750 CSR needs to look good before I drive it on the streets and the first thing is that I need to find a good way to remove the chrome from my wheels and grab bar so I can get them ready for paint. I am only trying to remove the chrome because I have some rust on these pieces also. Will sandblasting remove the chrome or is there a better way?

I scuffed my chrome fender up with an abrasive wheel attached to a drill motor. I did this prior to painting it.

The scuffed up metal held the primer real tight.

I was very careful to not touch the surface and get skin oil on it.

I was sure to scuff up 100% of the exposed surface as well.

Worked great.

Wire wheel the rust, then go at it with a shot gun. That or emory cloth....
