gas cap?

Just sold the honda, need KAWA parts and i cant seem to find a couple items, hoping one of you guys can help.
Anyone have a gas cap?

What bike is that tank from?

It looks like a KZ550, but the cap was used on KZ1000MKII, ST, J, M, Various KZ1100, KZ250, KZ440, KZ750. They should be all over ebay you'd think. There's a new one on there now bid up to around $65 but in Australia. Are these NLA part through Kawasaki?

Yes, it is for a 82 KZ550a3, my signature seems to have disappeared.. Listed as "cancelled" at Kawa.com

$18 for a gas cap??? Do a review if you get one. That's a dang good price. Can't be Kawasaki.

I got one but I have yet to put it on. Waiting on the never ending paint job so it may be a while.
Right now all I can say is it looks correct.

WWhen you click on the gas-cap,which states that it's for a 550,it comes up in another page(in your basket) as being for a KZ1300.:huh:

Alright Sandy's discovery started to worry me so I took the time to do the quick install.

The review:
It did not include new screws. So save your old ones.
Other than that I can't find any faults and at $18 whose complaining.
Looks to be exactly as stock except its normal chrome and not black chrome on my GPZ's but I can paint it and that is probably correct for the KZ version.
No chips and chrome looks real good.
Appears to ba all metal:)
