Sandblasting

Does anyone know if sandblasting a plastic fairing will leave any deep scores? Is there a special media needed?
I know it would not be any fun if it was easy, but does it have to be this much fun?

Sandblasting a plastic fairing is forbidden...unless you want to buy another to replace it:) Many of us hand-sand plastic/abs body parts prior to painting...sandblasting may be appropriate for steel (as in fuel tanks, frames, etc.) but is not recommended for aluminum alloy motor covers, etc...there are alternate media that are 'easier' on some metals.

NO WAY. Maybe baking soda blasters would work, but take the time to sand it with 400 then 600 to make it smooth.
