kz650 Paint code

Does anyone know the paint code for the 78 csr red paint? I am looking at going back to it or close to it along with some white go fast stripes.

The '78 650 would be a D model (SR on the side covers).

There are no paint codes for Kawasaki Candy colors from the 1970's. There is a list of the colors used in the Filebase on this website that details your color as a Candy red over a metallic silver base. I'm sure a House of Kolor color chart will have a close match if you have an original sample part to compare it to. You can make the candy colors come out lighter or darker by adjusting the number of coat you apply.

How difficult would it be to spray that up in 3 coats like they describe? Also, how would that affect doing a stripe or some other color change with 2 color layers? Thanks for the link and info, it explains why my bike had faded to grey and was red everywhere that was shaded.

put two kawis side by side, same year same model same color, bet the paint isn't the same, get something close and live with it
