Can anyone reccomend some quality cleaning products for removing all that tar, chain grease, and various other road dirts from your frame and rear end components? Thanks.

Scrape as much as you can easily away and use paint thinner. Works for me.

I use Gunk grease remover (spray can) on really greased up stuff. But its pretty brutal stuff and I wouldn't let it sit too long on rubber/plastic parts. Another good product I like is "Turtle Wax Bug & Tar Remover", I'm not a fan of Turtle wax products but this one works good and it is cheap. It comes in two formats areosol and plain in the can, the areosol does not work as good for some reason. Doug

Carb cleaner sprayed onto a rag. Whipe the gunk off, then chase with water to make sure the costic stuff is gone. Did it just this week. Works good. I've used WD40 and mineral spirits and can vouch that both of them work well, too.
