Looking to put a fairing on my 750E. I really like the look of the ELR fairing with the round headlight, and this one listed at DK looks very similar.

tinyurl.com/6xv55y

My question is, there are two fairings listed, one bigger than the other:

17 1/2 in. H x 13 1/2 in. W x 8 in. D ie. "Small body measurement"

or

18 in. H x 15 in. W x 10 in. D "Large body measurement"

Anyone have experience with these fairing and if so any recomendations on which one fits?

Thanks

ELR has a square head lamp, not round. I´ve never heard of different sizes of those fairings. But it is IMO the best looking 1/4 -fairing these old-timers.

Sorry, my bad. Didn´t check the link first. Looks very good thoughB)

Like Z1109R, I was sort of confused by the two different sizes. I am familiar with the two different sizes of (square headlight) early GPz fairings. The small one fits the GPz550, while the slightly larger fits the 1100 and 750 GPz's...the headlights are the same size but the 550 fairing is only slightly smaller than the 750/1100 fairing...the mounts are placed differently also. I'm assuming that the same principle applies in this situation...the smaller fairing would be better designed for smaller framed bikes...maybe 550's or 400's???

And Z1109R, Kawasaki made what they termed the Type I (Z550) and Type II (Z750R/Z1000R/Z1100R/Z1100B) fairing...and one can fabricate mountings to make the Type I fairing fit on a early model 1100 but, it looks too small.:)

Makes sense McDroid. Smaller fairing for the smaller displacement bikes, larger fairing for the larger bikes. You'd get along well with my wife. She could make a living pointing out the obvious to me . . .

One of the goals for this bike is to add the front quarter fairing and chin scoop. Not looking to build an ELR clone but I really like the look of those two pieces together.

Thanks to all

You´re right Mcdroid! Didn´t come to think of that possibility since Z550 was never a big hit here in Finland as for some reason we have more bigger cc bikes here. Z500 was popular though.
