Splashback!!! Just do the exterior!! Don't be too gentle or it'll want it all the time!! Make sure your washrag, sponge, towel or whatever is free from foreign matter so no scratches or goo! Try not to spray directly onto airbox/pods or big electrical nests! Babes in bikini's do the best job of drying bikes!

No high-pressure washers on the fork seals.Do it from a distance, but not up close.
same thing with wheel bearings. And don't try to pressure-wash the grime of the drive-chain either.Wipe it down with a rag,and relube it.
Oh yeah...and post any pics of your helpers in bikinis!:woohoo:

I always look for the dirt and stuff, when i find it i use soapy water in that area until i pi$$ it off and it leaves.
All joking aside, make sure your timing cover is properly sealed and if you have pods on the carbs cover them in a baggie with a rubber band around each pod.

my secret weapon for painted parts, wont hurt paint or strip off wax.for the greasy stuff soak it down with simple green or 409 first makes life much easier, yes i use the409 on the chain also drive it around a few minutes to dry it out and spray some lube on there;)
Still recovering, some days are better than others.
