need some idea's was created by FireFighterRon
I am looking for some idea's for this bike. it was in great shape when i bought it 6 years ago. Till me and my X split and then it just sat outside in the weather hear in Great old Niagara Falls, NY
Now i kick my self in the ass for not covering it but now its time to strip it down and re-do it so it looks like i just bought it yesterday
So an idea's of what color you would paint it, what would u chrome or have re-chromed.. stuff like that.. keep the vetter stuff or take it off.... thanks for all the idea's

Instructions for riding a KZ1100 1) sit on bike, 2) start bike and idle till warm, 3) pull in clutch, put in gear, 4) release clutch and rip on the throttle, 5)VERY IMPORTANT!!HOLD THE F*** ON!!!, 6) Enjoy!! Side effects may include whiplash, wrinkle free skin and an evil smile resembling the"Joker"

Jeez... it's not really that bad...
I kinda' like the blue.
Why not just clean it up, replace the seat cover, get all the mechanics in order, and *then* decide how crazy to get with it?
...I actually like the dressers/baggers... maybe because I don't *have* one...

I agree with Bique.

Or you could take it apart and assess the parts one by one, and replace/clean/repaint whatnot....

If I understand it, the bike has not been used for quite some time. Therefore you are not using it to commute, so you can afford to take you time on a ground up restore/clean.

Either way, looks like fun!

Isn't there a site where you can buy new covers for specific seats? Just tear off the old one and stretch on the new one?

I have to generally agree with the others...clean it up, buy all those missing bits and pieces, get it running, and replace that seat! I don;t think it will be all that bad, then:)

Yeah man, same as all these guys.

And a mid-west piece of advice:
1: Move your good-ol-motorcycle-boy ass outta New York and get to an area where women are (relatively) sane.
2: Take the gay sticker off the gas tank.
3: Get the side-plates on.
4: Mechanical issues.
5: Washy-washy, scrubby-scrubby.
6: Ridey-ridey...smiley-smiley!

Ok, Get it back to basics so that you can better see the improvements that you would like to make.

Remove the fairing (sp) and luggage racks for the time being, the stickers, the rust, the dirt.

Get it running. ....

The more time you put into it, the clearer your ideas may become.
