tail section question

I have a 1980 kz650 ltd. I want to put one of those tailsection peices off a 1977 kz650 on my bike. Will this work? Is this possible?

most likley, you'll have to make the mounts though.

Hey Monster if you would like, I have a couple of those tail pieces in the garage and will be more than happy to measure whatever you need and will send with pics.
I am in town until Sat then off to Delaware. Trust me the wife will NOT measure KZ parts if I am gone!!! I called her once from the great state of Texas on my way to the Middle East in 2002 and asked her a question and I still haven't got an answer. But she still puts up with 5 bikes in the garage!
