Hi All,

I tried that battery thing the other day and that grab rail came out quite well...

someone warned that the rust would come back QUICK if i did not coat with "top coat"...

went and picked some up there otherday, and when i went into the garage today to start that next step, the grab rail was looking, well... i little dingy again!

so, dropped it back in the vat of sodium carb, hooked her back up to the battery let it sit again (2 hrs per side)...

pulled it out, wiped it down, dried it, steel wooled it.... wiped down again...

SPRAYED IT!

1st coat drying now...

thanks for the advice....

I've never heard of whatever you are talking about before. Can you explain what you're doing and the results?

Yea, after reading farther into the forums, I read the other post and the whole procedure. Thanks though. Really wonder where you guys find all this information. Guess that's why we are all here!
