Yes I have used POR15 many times with great success. The secret is the tank must be completely dry and free of oil. I suggest you get the POR kit, it comes with the cleaner and the metal etching solution.

I just stared using Por15 instead of Kreem. The silver color is a plus appearance wise. The kit made it easy to use and it appears to be thicker than the Kreem. I would recommend it.
