I don't know...if it were the entire set of bodywork, then he might. Then again, R owners are just as picky as Z1 owners...so someone might be emptying their piggybank as I post this:laugh: :laugh:

if i needed a tank for mine... 1499 would be on the way to the seller.. better than using a repaint on an original KZ1000R

If it´s 100% original and been sitting in a box for 20odd years we should get the original colour code from that tank. It´s not worn out or sun-burned so should be an exact code. I´d be interested in knowing the code.B)

I hope that these prices for old bike parts aren't the growing trend. A NOS tank for $1499 is ridiculous, but someone will probably be willing to pay it. Who, other than a collector that isn't going to actually ride the bike, can afford these kind of prices? Are the riders getting priced out of the game?
