Ok well i dislike the shape (or lack of) on my 77 KZ650,
I really like the KZ750 1982 R1, 1983 L2, 1984 L3 fuel tanks. The question is will they fit with little/ no modifications?

Then if it will fit, anyone have a spare tank? :p

They mount totally differently. The rear of the 650's tank presses down into a rubber grommet. On the 750 the rear of the tank bolts to a bracket that is bolted to the frame. I also think the front rubber mounts are different as well. You would also run into issues with the 750 tank hitting the seat on the 650.

You have a 1983 750 L3 so if you say for sure it can't be done i will believe you.

EDIT:: after looking at some pic's on ebay I guess i will have to give up my dream of having a non-bubble shaped gas tank on my 650. :(

Well the other option you have is to get a tank from an SR650 or an LTD650 it is a sort of semi-coffin shaped tank. That tank will fit with no mods needed.B)
