1981 KZ1000M CSR Seat
03 Nov 2007 12:32
1981 KZ1000M CSR Seat:
I found out last night that the seat on my new bike is NOT the correct seat. I just thought it had some sort of funky cover.
So, I might be looking for that "cool" cruizer seat that I see in the pics of 81-81 CSR's and LTD's.
Are there other models that are the same seat? (750 CSR for example)
If yes, that would increase my search pool.
Also, if I find just the correct pan and mounting parts, who has good covers - if I need to do that. I have noticed that this seat seems to seam split in the middle.
As always any help would be appreciated. And, I have spent so much time searching the forums, wife is getting suspicious:whistle:

BIG Thanks to da boat a ya's.
I came up with the same reults:( But I gotta wonder if the other seats don't fit because the vynal pattern is different. I'll start shmoozing around a junkyard and take a looksee.
I picked up the bike on Sunday and whatever seat is on there has a rusted pan. Found corret one on ebay for $80 with original cover. Might be the way to go, but i know that i will recovering that seat soon - 26 year old cover won't take too much abuse from fat butt before the seams etc start to go.
