I've always been able to easily remove emblems by sliding dental floss behind them and sawing the adhesive. But the chrome panels on the side of my g are being a little more difficult. Anyone out there ever remove these or have any other suggestions/ideas? I'm open to anything. -Jimmy

Found out for my self, thought I'd share...heat, the answer is heat. Surprised to find a glue underneath them, not mounting tape.

There is a glue under the chrome that holds it on. the gentleman before me is correct, heat is the answer. I had the same problem when I did mine. After I removed them.I used a 4.5" angle grinder w/ stripping discs to remove the glue and paint with ease. I got the dics at the local Menard's Home Improvement Center. The part #9682 and it is made by 3M. Hope I could help. It made short work of stipping the glue and paint.

1980 kz1000g 1105 34mm Mikuni flat slides Kerker exhaust custom paint stock ignition(Dyna 2000 soon) Accel coils and wires stock cams w/ heavy springs for more rpm. My 2nd 1000.
