Hey guys, this popped up on ebay. If price stays low I may jump on it. Question, are the tanks the same? Will it replace my smashed '80 F1 tank?

Looks good to me but im no pro.Tank is in nice shape in and out it seems.Sometimes if the price is low enough I will take a chance but hopfully someone can give ya a positive answer.Good Luck!

If not already done, might try comparing part numbers on Kawasaki.com.

That tank will fit your bike no problem. Checking with the Kawasaki website like Patton suggested won't do you much good since any time there is a variation in a part (in this case the color of the paint) Kawasaki will assign it a different part number.

Thanks Gringo, I went to Kawasaki.com and found the different part numbers as you said. I figured different color or striping may be the case. Cool, so pretty much all tanks from 76 thru at least 80 fit a standard KZ, huh? I'll be watching this tank close...

I've been watching and waiting. 2 1/2 hours left and it is at $47. I threw $50 at and I'm top bidder. Can't really afford that but it's in perfect condition, no dents, no rust, my emblems, etc. Think guy below me will snipe it at last second. We'll see... :dry:

I raided a couple cookie jars, went to $70, had it until 7 sec. Then BAMMM!!! I know how it works but still hate snipers! The guy who got it was noit bidding before that. Oh well, another one will come along! :angry:
