custom undertail

Hi i was thinking about doing a fenderless "conversion" to my 78 kz650 and thought about integrating an undertail on it, to give it a sportbike look. Yes I know its gonna be hard to match and Id have to do some custom fab. But I want to know if anybody else has done it or has any suggestions.

my buddy did his and used a L bracket to mount his light and his plate and it looked really good

sorry he used a truck tail light off a big rig

I used a xz6 tail light and some polished dimond plate.

I've been toying with the idea of doing the same on my 650. I just haven't sat down to figure out the dimensions/shape or what type of material I want to use.

You're talking about something like the undertail section on this bike, right?

i really like the light on that orange bike. good job. i'm going to do something similar, already have the fender off - but i'm putting my license plate on the swing or axle.
