Slippery Seat Solution

I have my bike back on the road....for now... and the seat is very slippery. Damn me for cleaning it and preserving the vinyl from sitting for almost 3 years. Anyone have a solution(other than velcro, sandpaper, or not using 100% of the throttle), or know of anyone that makes a seat cover with better grip for my GPz550? I've seen some custom seats made with the huump in the back, but I'm looking for something that follows the stock seat lines.
Thanks in advance.
Oh by the way, who is the wise guy that put the letter "s" in the word lisp anyway?

I DO have a spare seat that I could make into a gunfighter for 1/4 runs, that I plan on doing in the near future. I could recover it with a dirtbike type of material. On my XR400 I have a gripper seat covering. Until then, squeezing my knees against the tank will have to do.
Thanks for the suggestions.

It's a comfortable seat, just needs more grip. It doesn't have the grip lines near the tank like other stock seats have I've seen.
These are the pants I'm wearing:
They are the mesh type pants, and before you even think of asking, just because I live in San Francisco, doesn't mean I have matching cheek-showing chaps or a mesh cut-off tank top to match.

I knew this thread would open up more comments than suggestions. That's OK.

Yes, butt, have you ever ridden a Kawasaki naked? ---
Reminds me of the "streaking" days in the late 60's and early 70's.
Daytona Bike Week.
Just boots.
Female passenger -- not even boots.
Harley -- natch.
DUI -- natch.
Situs -- Eleanor Village.
Residents (elderly) -- moving chairs to porch and enjoying show.
The chant -- it doesn't count unless you have a h_rd-on.
H-D rider gets lost in Eleanor Village (it's complicated as a Georgia road map, and this is pre-GPS).
But eventually finds his way back -- all smiles, and so very proud. (She's still there, too.)
And nobody really cared what bike it was.
Somebody's avatar says "Ride a Kawasaki naked!"
Have you ever?
On any brand??
At night counts.
Pleading the fifth is okay.

Riding a Kawasaki naked at night. Vinyl seat? Sounds like you might have used a baseball player's rosin bag...I mean rosin on your...ah forget about it.
Corey, you might want to try a little diluted wax stripper to take the gloss off the seat or peel the seat vinyl off very carefully and use an electric carving knife to sculpt a nice little stepped nest for your tushee.
My sculpted seat holds me in nice and solid when I light it up. I used the original factory vinyl skin and even retained the passenger safety strap.
Hope this helps.
