I am trying to get my 1978 KZ650B back to stock. I am purchasing a plain recovered seat.
Did the original seat have "Kawasaki" screened in white on the back?
If it did, does anybody know a trick to replicating it easily (without taking the cover off).

None of the OEM seat covers that I've seen on US offered KZ's had the lettering in white.
It was basically just the word Kawasaki imprinted/stamped into the vinyl material.
IIRC there were KZ seats in others countries (England for example) that had the lettering in white on the back, but I'm not certain if those were OEM or not.

No all that great of picture here, but this is how the back of the bike would look. Like mentioned, the kawasaki was there, but not highlighted. Later on Kawasaki sold NOS seats that did have kawasaki in white letters for the KZ650.
