Hi, I am very new to this forum. I just picked up an '81 KZ1000 LTD in excellent condition. I don't know if it has been covered (sorry if it has)but I used the Mothers Power Ball and Mothers Aluminum polish on the engine an WOW!!! She is gleaming! I can only imagine what she will look like after I use the wet sandpaper! For a bike that is 26 yrs old she purrs like a kitten!

Welcome, Jackal!
Good looking bike. And yes, that aluminum engine can get pretty shiny if you work with it.
I found something called Mr. Buffer. Not available in CA, had to order it from OK City. It works better than anything I've used. And the parts tend to stay shiny... some kind of coating after you buff it out.
