Voyager 1300 B2 worth it?

I might have a deal where I can get a decent 1981 Voyager B2 for $800.

I don't really like all the fairings, and would like to strip it down and put an older KZ style flat seat on it, and normal rear fenders and such.

would it be worth it to spend $800 on a voyager just to strip it down to look like a normal KZ, or should I just wait and find a regular KZ1300?

thanks,

Chad

If it's the bike with the sway backed frame it's way worth it. The only defect as far as I'm concerned with the KZ was it's too tall seat.

I have one of each and am currently converting the Voyager to a street cruiser.
