Is there a specific type of polish I should use? I just didn't know if because of the heat you needed something designed for engines.

No, I use Mothers and a good engine paint.

Great thanks Mark. Mine is painted with duplicolor engine paint. It was primed, painted and cleared in it.
I just wanted to make sure before I went ahead.
