KZ1000P rear fender swap?

I just got a 1994 KZ1000P, and am converting to a street bike. I was curious as to whether or not the rear fender/tail section from a KZ1000 standard will fit onto the rear frame section of the P?

I am looking to cover the radio box bracket ugliness, and remain solo seated. I am looking at swapping a different seat onto the bike as well, if anyone has any ideas.
