can you get a gas cap re-keyed or do you have to replace them?

You don't mention what bike you have but most of them you can open with a screwdriver. You don't need a key.
Oh, and welcome to KzRider. Do a sig line with you location and what bikes you have it helps answer you questions. And before anyone else says it, WE LIKE PICTURES,,, :lol: :lol:

I guess that info might be useful. ha ha. It is a 77 Kz 1000. I dont really want to use a screw driver as it will make me look like jack ass when im trying to impress girls at the gas station. ha ha. I allready have to get out the passanger side door of my truck because the drivers side is broken. I dont have any pics of my bike right now and I dont know how to do sig line. Sorry.

What milkman means is that any key will do....and if you dont have key use whatever...knife blade, screwdriver etc. Use whatever key you use for the ignition. The mechanism in the lock is just a simple catch mechanism..not a real lock.

I have a 78 KZ1000 and I used an old key from a master lock and it works just fine.
78 KZ1000 work in progress in Hacienda Heights California and a 82 KZ1100 Spectra And a 1992 ZX11.
