KZ1100 going retro...

I have a question about doing some body mods on my '83 KZ1100 LTD. I am interested in replacing the factory rear fender/light piece with a duckbill-style piece from an older KZ, and a modern LED taillight flush mounted under the tail

oops, hit submit too quick... I am thinking about doing something like this on my bike, what parts would be needed and how much headache will it be? BTW - I have harley sportser rear turn signals bolted to the sides immediately under the seat.
