GPz brake problem was created by pstrbrc
I got to tearing more dirty stuff off of my GPz this afternoon, cleaning and repainting one part at a time. I guess I'm hoping to hit a place where it makes sense to stop taking it apart so I can start putting it back together. Good thing I hadn't stopped before now.
Problem 1:
Back brake MC is frozen solid and full of yellow cheesy stuff. No, it's not that! But anyway, I'm really sure it's not rebuildable. So, Bike Bandit would be happy to sell me a new one for $200+. So I'm surfing e-bay for rear MCs and I notice that a lot of Kaw MCs look alot alike. So, does anybody know if the insides are similar if the outsides are similar? I'm looking at this one

and a used 2000 MC has got to be in better shape than a used '86 one. Waddya think?
Problem 2:
The brake pedal shaft appears to me seized in the aluminum footpeg bracket. Used my biggest deadblow mallet (2#) and couldn't budge it. Suggestions?
