anyone need a short kickstand?
01 Nov 2006 05:59
I got a new kickstand with my wheelie bar so I want to get rid of my old one. I shortened it about 2 inches for my bike. I have it on ebay right now but it looks like no one wants it. Pay for shipping and it's yours.

I HATE WITH A PASSION
my shortened kick stand, cant fill the friggin tank all the way or it leaks out the cap.
mine will become an item in the trash soon. Basides, my kz900 looks dumb leaning so far over to the left sitting on the stand, unless im with all the 1%-ers, then it fits in the crowd somewhat.

I lowered my bike about 2 inches and it was still a little too long. The guy I got my wheelie bar from threw in a set of struts and a really short kickstand that should work great.
Now all you need to do is lower your bike and it will fit just right!

I need a better short kickstand as well. My pipe has about 2 in of clearance to the ground. I rumedged thru a pile of kickstands at the local bike yard and found one that works ok but nor perfect. It is still about an inch too tall. Almost looks like the bike is sitting straight up sometimes. With the orginal stand the bike has a nice lean to it but it was going the wrong way. It was leaning about 10 degrees to the brake side.
