Front End swap - bearings?

I would like to avoid pressing out stems or having a stem machined to mount a GSXR750 fork to GPz1100 frame. I'm wondering if anyone has had any luck swapping inner and outer races so no modification to the fork or frame is required. I know it can be done adapting Japanese forks to older British frames. Any ideas?

Determine the size bearings you will need by measuring the ID of the neck and the OD of the stem, then look at All Balls Custom Steering Bearings page.

Well, I was able to find a perfect match for the lower, can't see a match for the upper. The GPz frame uses a smaller OD bearing on the top than the bottom. I'm all set, I think, if I can find a 30X47X15. One thing I've forgotten to check if the 2 stems are the same length.
